Shields for COVID Responders – Field-Fabricators of Personal Protective Equipment

Founded on March 28, 2020 by active duty and retired military explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) technicians, SHIELDS FOR COVID RESPONDERS is a coalition of fabricators whose innovative outlook and passion for public service turned into helping first responders without adequate personal protective equipment (PPE) deal with the COVID-19 crisis.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to Shields for COVID Responders, the charity generated $14,445.14 across this fundraiser and our GoFundMe. We have also produced over 15,000 face shields that were distributed.
We have supported 28 states and 1 US territory.
We have supported over 200 facilities.

Fifth Annual Beeping Egg Build, March 2020

The US Capitol Police Bomb Squad; Loudoun County Police Bomb Squad; Fairfax County Police Bomb Squad; Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA); the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (BATF); Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Office for Bombing Prevention (OBP); DHS Science & Technology (S&T); U.S. Army EOD; U.S. Air Force EOD; D.C. Fire and Emergency Medical Services Department (DCFEMS) and other volunteers met for the fifth annual Northern Virginia “Beeping Egg” Build supporting visually impaired children. The event is in support of the International Association of Bomb Technicians and Investigators (IABTI) and took place Thursday, March 5, 2020, in Fairfax, VA.  Volunteers built over 700 eggs, breaking the record for a single day build.

2019 Brings Smiles at the Fourth Annual “Beeping” Egg Build Hosted by DAGER Technology

The Fourth Annual Egg Build was held on Thursday, March 14, 2019 at DAGER Technology headquarters in Fairfax, VA.  The group of international volunteers included individuals from Department of Homeland Security, Department of Defense, National Counterterrorism Center, Army EOD, Air Force EOD, Loudoun County Police Bomb Squad, ATF Labroartory, Metro Transit Police Bomb Squad, Henrico County Police, and DAGER Technology.  The group achieved their goal and built over 600 eggs in just a few short hours.  The event is in support of the International Association of Bomb Technicians and Investigators (IABTI) Beeping Egg Charity.

DAGER Technology hosts Emergency Responder Community for Third Annual TEAM-REDOPS “Beeping” Egg Build

On Thursday, February 22, 2018, DAGER Technology hosted the third annual TEAM-REDOPS “Beeping” Egg Build. The event brought volunteers from a variety of organizations including the Department of Homeland Security, Department of Defense, Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), United States Army, Loudoun County Sheriff Bomb Squad, New York Police Department, Michigan State Police, Henrico County Police, Norfolk Police Department, and DAGER Technology as well as personnel from UK, Australia, and Canada. These individuals came together to build over 350 eggs in less than two hours and plan to extend the event in 2019 with a goal of 600 eggs in support of the International Association of Bomb Technicians and Investigators (IABTI) Beeping Egg Charity.

DAGER Technology hosts Emergency Responder Community to Build “Beeping” Eggs for Visually Impaired Children

DAGER Technology, along with volunteers from a variety of organizations including the Department of Homeland Security, Department of Defense, Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Washington Area Metro Transit Police Bomb Squad, and Fairfax County Police Bomb Squad; including personnel from the UK, Canada, and Australia came together on Thursday, March 9, 2017, in Fairfax, VA to build 330 eggs in a single afternoon in support of the International Association of Bomb Technicians and Investigators (IABTI) Beeping Egg Charity.

The group performed an assembly line process to construct the audible electronic eggs, which consist of a switch, beeper, battery, and a plastic egg. The eggs will be distributed to schools for the blind in Paoli, PA, Philadelphia, PA and Baltimore, MD.
